Where to eat near Tiruchanoor Road: pure veg meals, family restaurants and coffee within a short walk
Aakarsh Inn has no restaurant. Creamstone is on the ground floor of our building, Starbucks is next door and PS4, A2B and Orion are five minutes on foot. Here is what each is good for, and how to manage breakfast on a darshan morning.
We chose not to run a restaurant. The road outside has become Tirupati’s newest eating strip, and our staff are better used on the rooms. Here is where our guests eat, all within a short walk.

Darshan mornings
If you are leaving at 3 AM for the bus, very little on the road will be open. Plan for it:
- In the room: tea or coffee with the kettle; keep a packet of biscuits or fruit from A2B the evening before.
- At Tirumala: TTD’s annaprasadam halls serve free, simple meals to pilgrims through the day, and there are canteens near the bus stand and the queue complex.
- Back in the city: the restaurants above open for breakfast from around 7 AM and serve through the day.
Meals to carry
For a day trip to Srikalahasti or Kanipakam, or for the footpath climb, A2B packs idli, pongal and sweets to take away. PS4 will pack a meals parcel if you ask ahead.
Dietary notes
- All four places offer vegetarian food; PS4 and A2B are pure vegetarian.
- Orion serves non-vegetarian dishes as well; ask for the vegetarian section if you are observing a fast.
- Jain and no-onion, no-garlic requests are understood at PS4 and A2B; ask when ordering.
Further away
The old city around the railway station and Gandhi Road has traditional meals halls and sweet shops, ten minutes by auto. The larger hotels on Tiruchanoor Road, Fortune Select Grand Ridge, the Taj and the Courtyard by Marriott, have restaurants open to non-residents if you want a longer dinner.
Opening hours vary and change on festival days; ask the front desk on the day.
